Settings
You can reach the settings via the menu. There are three sections:
- App Design: Switch between light, dark, and system – with “System”, the app follows your device's setting.
- Your Profile: This is where you set which of your player profiles is “you”. It controls the “(Me)” tag throughout the app, as well as which personal statistics are shown by default. You can change this again at any time.
- Data Management: Access to export and import (see below).
There's no in-app language switch – Magic Stats follows your device's system language.
Export & Import
You can reach export and import via Settings → Data Management, each as its own dialog. The format is a single JSON file containing all of the app's data – every group, player, deck, and game, not limited to a single group.
Export
The export starts automatically as soon as you open the dialog. Using your device's save dialog, you choose a location; a filename with a timestamp is suggested automatically (e.g. magicstats_export_...json).
Import
For import, you select a previously exported JSON file via your device's file picker. Import is purely additive and safe: entries that already exist by their ID are skipped – nothing is overwritten or duplicated. When it's done, the app shows you how many entries per category (groups, players, decks, games) were newly imported or skipped because they already existed.
Since there's no cloud sync, export/import is the only way to transfer data between two devices or keep your own backup.
